Credit Valley Conservation Foundation (CVCF) and its partner and fund recipient Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) are seeking proposals from qualified fundraising consultants to conduct a Fundraising Feasibility Study toward the implementation of two fundraising campaigns:
- Credit Valley Trail
- Belfountain Conservation Area Project
The Credit Valley Trail (CVT) will be a continuous 100 kilometre pathway through the Credit River Valley, linking communities from the Headwaters in Orangeville to the Lake Ontario shoreline in Port Credit. This ambitious project involves significant engagement with a variety of stakeholders from throughout the watershed and extensive trail development and land acquisition components. While the total implementation cost for the entire project, over a 25 year horizon, is estimated at $100 million, the immediate five year fundraising objective is $10 million.
The Belfountain Conservation Area (BCA) Project has completely re-envisioned one of CVC’s oldest and best-known conservation areas through a park master planning process. In addition to a renewed visitor program, several major projects have been identified including a new visitor centre and parking lot, gatehouse, accessible pathways and refurbished heritage features. Significant works to the heritage dam and removal of its headpond are also planned. Costs of these works are estimated at $10 million over five years.
CVCF and CVC are seeking a consultant to undertake a Fundraising Feasibility Study that will assess public and private support for these two separate projects. The fundraising objective is $10 million per project, for a total of $20 million, over five years.
Submissions for this proposal will be physically received by CVCF/CVC, no later than March 15, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the CVC Administration Office, Mississauga. Proposal should be addressed to the attention of:
